Frute is a psych rock collective based in Atlanta, GA. The group features Alo Ver’s ethereal vocals, which perfectly complement the band’s deep grooves and shimmering soundscapes. With a strong focus on live improvisation, their music blends crisp, catchy synthesizers, unconventional guitar tones, and a dynamic rhythm section. Whether performing live or recording in the studio, their sound strikes a captivating balance between atmospheric depth and infectious danceability.

The group was originally formed by brothers Ian Payne (Keys/Vocals) and Matt Payne (Guitar/Vocals), along with college friend Patrick Lydon (Bass/Vocals) and childhood friend Jeff Axelrod (Guitar). Over the years, the lineup has evolved, with the current iteration featuring Alo Ver (Vocals) and Ben McEntire (Drums). Since then, the band has released their debut studio album, Meridiem (2023), and the EP Frission (2024). Frute is now excited to follow up these releases with their first live album, as well as their second studio album, both set for release this year.
